Durée du projet

Description
The initial form of Paris Metro Line 4 was commissioned in 1908 and is the second-busiest metro line following Line 1, carrying over 175 million passengers a year. A first expansion was constructed in 2013, heading south to the city hall of Montrouge. It is in the general context of the line’s second expansion that CERTIFER was contracted by the Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens (RATP), and assigned with an Organisme Qualifié (OQ) service, which final purpose is to demonstrate the project’s compliance with French safety regulations and standards.
This expansion had two objectives. Firstly, connecting the city hall of Montrouge to the city of Bagneux, through the construction of 1.76 km of additional underground double tracks, and the construction of two new underground stations (Verdun Sud, and Bagneux). Secondly, the RATP took further the opportunity of this expansion to fully automate the operation of Line 4, using Siemens’ Trainguard MT® CBTC solution.
périmètre du projet
In this context, CERTIFER acts as a Organisme Qualifié to assess the project’s compliance with French regulations, standards and technical references in force (legal opinion) and to assess the achievement of the required level of safety for the system as a whole, as well as the capacity to maintain this level over time (expert opinion).
